I hope everyone is enjoying the summer as best you can without having Nauset Beach be part of it.
Currently there are (5) piping plover chicks feeding just North of trail 1. According to management, these birds hatched last week. As we all know by now, plover chicks require 28-35 days to fledge. Hopefully, we have ourselves some over-achievers out there and they are able to fledge sooner than later.
I look forward to seeing everyone out on the beach real soon.
For Continued Patience and Understanding,
Scott Morris Nauset Beach Representative
