Split between reports and comments is not working

Dear powers that be & web site committee,

The split forums between the Beach reports and the Beach comments is not working. In at lease two beaches there is more current info on the comment section than the report section. It seems obvious the info needs to be more centralized.

made sticky threads and locked after posting, then the comment threads would be below. This would make things a lot easier.

I agree that some changes in the beach reports are in order. I for one think the beach report section should be open for members to post current info. If someone other than a rep has something important to the members it should be posted directly to the site, especially where the beach access issues are here. Some info can become available when the reps are on the beach and cannot post directly.
As an example of info I refer to - The mung is in - there is a unexpected trail closure and any other problem that may occur. With the fuel cost, it may be the difference between what area someone will or will not fish or visit on any given night. This info is more important for fishermen or "day trippers"

I say if someone has info about a beach that the rep does not then they should relay the info to the rep that way they can confirm if true or not. I know as a beach rep that you can not always have the info immediate to post for the upcoming weekend or that day.Remember that everyone is a volunteer and can do what is time related to them or when the info reaches them to post
