Dear fellow MBBA members and friends, As all of you know by now, we have been working on a Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP), and Over-Sand Vehicle Self Escort Program for the Town of Orleans over the last year. Both the HCP and Escort Program have been accepted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and are currently listed in the U.S. Federal Register for public comment. Today I ask each and every one of you to please submit a comment. You may do so by visiting: www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=FWS-R5-ES-2014-0051-0001 and clicking on the comment button. Please understand that this is not a chat room, message board or forum. This is the real deal and the comments that are submitted will be used in determining whether or not the Town of Orleans will be issued an Incidental Take Permit (ITP). I recommend a comment that is to the point and meaningful. Simply pointing out the fact that you are delighted that the service is taking the steps to work with beach managers and stakeholders is a positive step forward. In other words, keep it simple. I would also suggest you express your desire to take part in a new program that will ultimately benefit shorebirds across the Commonwealth. Once again, I thank you for your support and continued beach access efforts. Thank you, Scott Morris MBBA, Vice President
