8/23/2012 Peter,
We have one 15 day old least tern chick that has been moving from delineation posts 0 to 3. If this chick survives to fledging it may take 7 - 10 additional days.

RACE POINT NORTH ACCESS TRAIL IS OPENING THIS MORNING!
So the beach is open from Hatches Harbor to Exit 8 and a couple of miles south at High Head and Head of the Meadow.
Great News for the Weekend.

I just spoke with Craig they moved the North SCV area down closer to the access trail, it's 1/10 of a mile down from the Y and 3/10 long.

Hoping for a great turnout for the Race Point Fall Conservation Project, it looks like a good weekend and we could sure use your help, the beach looks great, big and wide, the fishing is good and I'm looking forward to seeing friends from other beaches that I've missed over the summer. Bill Correia, his Sous chefs Jim, Curt and their helpers promise another great lunch and I imagine there will be a wonderful pot luck supper before the evening campfire, (which also promises to be an event.) I hope you can find time in your busy schedules to join us for this fun filled weekend! Peter
